Accounts Clerk

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire an Accounts Clerk based in Maitland. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing delivery notes and supplier invoices, supplier account reconciliations, material cost reports, creditor accrual account reconciliations, debtors invoicing, debtors collections, cashbook capturing and reconciliations, petty cash and expense claim capturing, journals, stock capturing, fuel and credit card capturing, and wage loan account reconciliations. Capture delivery notes and supplier invoices. Supplier account reconciliations. Material cost report and creditor accrual account reconciliation. Debtors invoices. Debtors Collections. Cash Book capturing and reconciliation. Preparing and capturing Petty Cash and expense claims. Journals. Stock capturing. Fuel and credit card capturing. Wage loan account reconciliations. POPI – Prepare, update and maintain Data Processing Agreements and related compliance documentation; circulate to relevant parties and file signed copies. Archiving and filing. Assist with answering the switchboard. Requirements Minimum of Matric with relevant certificate in Bookkeeping or Finance. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role. Sound interpersonal and communication (telephone and writing) skills. Attention to detail. Efficient and able to prioritise tasks. Work well under pressure. Operate effectively in a team environment. Advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel. Knowledge of working on EJM or Buildsmart accounting software (advantageous) Basic understanding of VAT. Understanding of job costing. Experience in construction industry.
