Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Lending Assistant Manager who will under limited supervision, perform work requiring the use of judgment and discretion in making lending decisions. Responsible for the supervision and management of team members within the department while directing and coordinating effective sales and service activities. Work closely with management to analyze workflows, systems and information and recommend future development of department programs, procedures, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Review and Member Support:
o Analyze loan requests and applications to make decision for loan approval, denial, or counteroffers, up to established Board approved lending limits.
o Perform immediate loan review and render loan decision while Member is present.
o Input application from direct Member calls and makes decisions under the guidelines of established Board approved loan limits.
o Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive Member financial information.
o Recognize and propose changes in the workflow to maintain maximum efficiency.
o Counsel Members on loan requirements and matters affecting the granting of loans.
o Discuss loan options and programs that will benefit each Member and ensure quality Member service.
o Recommend and suggest course of action to Members that help them qualify for a loan.
o Provide exceptional service to all Members, volunteers, internal team members, and service providers.

o Analyze and recommend decision of loan requests which are not within RCU lending guidelines.
o Conduct team meetings to disseminate pertinent information and discuss procedures, policies and/or problems to ensure optimum teamwork.
o Develop and maintain written procedures for Consumer Lending department.
o Compose reports on loan volume and service Consumer Lending Manager on a regular basis.
o Perform branch visits as necessary to assist with training needs.
