Supports Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) team in LatAm region by coordinating Public Relations and Marketing activities. Needs to ensure a good relationship with partners (celebrities, influencers, press, agencies) in order to develop projects and collaborative content productions. Supports Marketing and Public Relations Managers with special projects in Orlando and Hollywood.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Develops and oversees plans and tactics to reach key strategic audiences as implemented by PR management. Supports the development and implementation of yearly marketing plans and tactics. Monitors and tracks all initiatives and tactics implemented by organization and reports coverage/tactical feedback. Ensures all efforts integrate with LatAm goals, objectives and specific tactics to achieve consistent messaging.
- →Welcomes top-tier celebrities and influencers upon arrival to the UDX Orlando parks, including production of welcome kits, ticket retrieval, photos, etc.
- →Participates in weekly meetings representing the PR/Marketing teams with Orlando team members of other areas (Action WS, PR Meeting) and sends an e-mail with a summary of what was discussed in each meeting with action topics.
- →Supports in-loco projects such as recordings for TV shows, productions, press trips, events (FC Series, Mardi Gras, Holidays, etc).
- →Strengthens relationships with key partners that are based in Florida, such as Visit Florida, Visit Orlando, Experience Kissimmee, Visit California, LTCB, as well as trade partners who are related to content creators, press and celebrities.
- →Continuously evaluates opportunities of new partners and trends, monitoring competition activities.
- →Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or advertising.
- 3+ years experience in marketing, communication, public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Entertainment and Travel/tourism experience is a plus.
- SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Advanced/fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
- Time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail as well as follow-through ability, strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented attitude: collaboration and communication
- Heavy user of social media
- Experience working in cross-functional groups, across multiple countries
