Design and build Entertainment show props and elements.  At the direction of Management able to create models and drawings with the use of 3D modeling/design programs and software. Ability to take concept artwork and create a functional show prop. Use knowledge of 3D printing process and materials to create rapid prototypes for demonstrations and concept meetings. Participate in design meetings and brainstorming sessions. Other responsibilities include sculpting, mold making, casting, pigmentation, painting, working with silicone, urethane, and latex materials, airbrush usage and techniques, working with hair, feather and fur, and other materials as needed. Has knowledge of different prop making materials and tools.

Building and maintaining Entertainment show props and elements. Responsibilities include sculpting, mold making, casting, pigmentation, painting, working with silicone, urethane, latex materials, airbrush usage and techniques, working with hair, feather and fur, and other materials as need. Use knowledge of 3D printing process and materials to create rapid prototypes for demonstrations and concept meetings. May also work in modes of sculpting, mold making, casting, pigmentation, painting, working with silicone, urethane, and latex materials, airbrush usage and techniques, working with hair, feather and fur, and other materials as needed.

• →Prepare drawings from existing concept art, modify existing drawings or layouts, participate in design meetings while presenting ideas to a team. Develop color boards, models, and novel concept solutions while keeping design intent intact.
• →Program and run rapid prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutting to quickly create working show props for demonstrations, concept meetings, and use in the parks.
• →Fabrication and repairing various props and molds by utilizing appropriate techniques, materials, and processes.
• →Properly assess, mix and apply airbrush and/or faux paint techniques, automotive paint applications as well as wet/dry brush and sponge painting. Also including proper preparation of work to be painted or finished.
• →Ensures proper completion of documentation relating to work performed.
• →Use basic mechanical and carpentry skills that include the use of various tools for the repair and/or modification of molds, figures and/or props.  Maintain equipment, tools, supplies and keeping workstation and area clean.
• →Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• →Performs other duties as assigned.

• →Using 3D modeling/design software, create drawings of new or existing Entertainment show elements or props. These drawings can be used to recreate these items.
• →Operates rapid prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutting to quickly create working show props for demonstrations, concept meetings and use in parks. Maintain equipment, tools, supplies and keeping workstation and area clean.
• →Fabrication and repairing various props and molds by utilizing appropriate techniques, materials, and processes.
• →Properly assess, mix and apply airbrush and/or faux paint techniques, automotive paint applications as well as wet/dry brush and sponge painting. Also including proper preparation of work to be painted or finished.
• →Completion of documentation of work including updating material information and repair logs.
• →Perform routine inspections of Entertainment Show props and elements. This can include handheld props and Entertainment set pieces.

• Associate degree (AA) preferred.  
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in related field preferred.

• 6-10 years’ experience in maintaining and repair of scenic elements and Entertainment show props.
