About the Role
~1 min readWe're reimagining how people work in retail — building products that impact over 1/4 of all US workers. Making good on that mission means understanding how our products actually perform and where they can be better, and that's where you come in.
We're looking for a Product Analyst to join the product team and own analytics and business intelligence across the Reflex worker app, retailer platform, and internal tools. You'll build the dashboards, metrics, and reporting the company runs on, and you'll stand up the product analytics (funnels, experimentation, the metrics that tell us what to build next) that guides where we go. It's a broad mandate with room to shape how analytics works at Reflex, and to grow your own scope and skillset as the function evolves.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Partner with product, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing to turn business and product questions into clear, trustworthy analysis
- →Build and maintain the dashboards, metrics, and reporting that give the company visibility into how the business and our products are performing
- →Own visibility into our product funnels: understand where and why users drop off, track engagement and retention, and connect what you see in user behavior to what the product should do next
- →Define and instrument product metrics, working with engineering to close tracking gaps and build clean, reusable data models that enable self-service analysis across the team
- →Own experimentation end to end: design tests, analyze results, and build the frameworks that turn them into confident launch decisions
- →Proactively investigate open-ended questions and hunt down anomalies and opportunities before anyone asks, then turn what you find into recommendations the team can act on
- →Translate data into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders at every level, from working teams to leadership
Requirements
~1 min read- 2–4 years of experience in an analytics, BI, data analyst, or similar role, ideally with exposure to consumer-facing products
- Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with data to answer open-ended questions
- Grounding in experiment design and statistical analysis — comfortable running A/B tests and interpreting results soundly
- Experience analyzing conversion funnels, user journeys, and event-based behavioral data
- Experience with the kinds of tools that make up a modern analytics stack — a BI/dashboarding tool (e.g. Metabase, Looker, Tableau), a data transformation layer (e.g. dbt), and a cloud data warehouse. We're not attached to specific tools; anything is learnable, and we care more about how you think than what you've used.
- A track record of turning data into decisions and communicating findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
- Startup experience preferred
- Self-starter: you are self directed when you need to be and excited to work in a fast paced, low ego environment
- Hungry to grow: you see this role as a place to stretch — to take on more scope, sharpen new skills, and grow alongside the analytics function as it matures.
- Thoughtful problem solver: You're a superstar at getting to the bottom of tricky problems. You are comfortable working through hard challenges, both alone and with others.
- You like to “get it done”: you have well-rounded skills and experience to run projects end to end.
- Pragmatic and business-oriented: “Business impact” isn't just a fancy phrase you hear team members talk about. You embrace the objective of the company, make tradeoffs relentlessly, and prioritize projects better than anyone.
- Put users first: You think critically about the implications of what you build and how it shapes people's lives.
- Excellent communicator: You communicate ideas clearly and engage thoughtfully with others. You love to tell stories using words and visuals.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- You have worked in an early stage start up.
