To be hired and cleared to coach applicants must be able complete training certificates for the following courses (Some coursework requires fees, these are the responsibility of the coach to pay). Courses will be assigned in our District training system:
Sexual Harassment training
General Coaching Course
Sports Specific Course
Concussions in sports training
Sudden Cardiac Arrest training
Heat Acclimatization training
Bloodborne Pathogens training
Youth Suicide Prevention training
Title IX Protecting Students training
Asthma Awareness training
Social media for Sports training
Homeless Education training
Sportsmanship training
Bullying, Hazing training
Negative TB Test
First Aid/CPR Certificate
Valid Drivers License

The Board of Trustees desires to employ highly qualified coaches for the district's sports and interscholastic athletic programs in order to enhance the knowledge, skills, motivation, and safety of student athletes.
The coach of an athletic team is primarily responsible for the compliance of his/her squad members to the rules, regulations, and policies governing athletics at his/her assigned school. Compliance is enhanced when athletes are informed of and understand the policies. All coaches are directly responsible to the Athletic Director and Administrator at his/her school for the application of these rules and regulations.

The District has 8 small schools: (4) K-6 elementary schools; (2) middle schools; and (2) high schools serving the communities of Clarksburg, Hood, Courtland, Walnut Grove, Ryde, Locke, Isleton, Rio Vista, Birds Landing, and Collinsville.
The River Delta Unified School District sits in three counties – Sacramento, Solano, and Yolo. Although it is a tri-county district, it is served by the Sacramento County Office of Education.
River Delta Unified School District is committed to providing a quality education for all students and has high standards and expectations for students' success in school. We are committed to ensuring that our students meet these standards and that our clients' expectations for educational excellence are not compromised. The District continually improves and expands its curriculum by implementing new programs and broadening the instructional strategies used in the classroom.
Staff development opportunities are provided, encouraged, and promoted. Strategic Schooling is ongoing in all our school sites and Common Core training and coaching is the top priority for the district currently. In addition, the District provides opportunities for staff to participate in on-going in-services in all curriculum areas. The district encourages advancement on the salary schedule for advanced classes taken to improve instruction in areas agreed upon by the teacher, principal, and Superintendent.
