Graduate Software Development Engineer in Test

Cambridge, UK | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid 

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000  

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Graduate Software Development Engineer in Test, to join our talented team of hardware designers and embedded software engineers. Together, you’ll deliver fully tested, high-performance, and trusted systems. In this exciting role you'll have end-to-end visibility across the entire stack, owning different aspects of testing and shaping how quality and reliability are built into our cutting-edge technology. You do not need a background in quantum computing! You will learn this along the way.

As a Graduate Software Development Engineer in Test at Riverlane, you will:

• →Develop and execute test plans for Quantum Error Correction Systems
• →Learn about and support the creation of testbenches using Python and Pytest
• →Run system tests and perform debugging to resolve issues in collaboration with other engineers
• →Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand specifications and define test strategies for Quantum Error Correction systems
• →Learn and apply best practices in System Test to make methodology improvements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline
• Some familiarity with Python
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• An interest in learning about quantum computing

• Relevant academic projects/internships/work experience
• Exposure to quantum computing
