Our mission is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations in the next two decades. The largest transfer of wealth in human history. If you’re ready to be at the epicenter of this historic cultural and financial shift, keep reading.

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

The Martech & Growth team’s mission is to build the platform and capabilities that power Robinhood’s highest-priority growth surfaces: lifecycle marketing and paid marketing. We are a high-performing and collaborative team working at the seam where marketing campaigns acquire users and lifecycle deepens their engagement. Our work spans both the Growth Engagement and Performance Marketing(PFM) areas of the business. We partner closely with engineering, data, and product teams to translate acquisition and monetization needs into clear technical solution designs. Together, we are building an elite growth engine to solve some of the world's biggest financial problems!

As a Staff Performance Marketing Manager you will own the complete lifecycle marketing technology roadmap and lead the development of internal tools to manage over $200M in annual paid media spend. You will serve as the primary bridge between marketing and engineering, converting requirements into clear technical specifications and scalable solutions. In this role, you will evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs and design systems that integrate advanced tools with human expertise. You will engage deeply with engineering leaders while driving alignment and delivery across both lifecycle and paid marketing surfaces. This is a rare opportunity to shape the technology that drives customer acquisition, activation, and long-term retention!

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete lifecycle marketing technology roadmap in partnership with marketing leadership, aligning technical investments with the Growth Engagement team's goals around scalable growth, incentive programs, and personalization at scale — continuously re-prioritizing based on business results, urgency, and engineering capacity.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions, serving as the primary bridge between Growth Engagement marketing and engineering: convert marketing requirements into clear specs, surface technical dependencies and risks early, and ensure solutions are architected for scale and reusability across use cases and channels.
  • Own build vs. buy evaluations for key capabilities (e.g., journey orchestration, personalization engines, new channels), evaluating tradeoffs across cost, speed, scalability, and long-term flexibility — including running POCs or vendor assessments when relevant.
  • Maintain deep fluency in the CRM/lifecycle marketing technology landscape, staying ahead of emerging innovations, vendors, platforms, and modern practices in personalization and orchestration; benchmark Robinhood's capabilities against leading competitors.
  • Define and evangelize the quality bar for lifecycle marketing technology — translate a strong point of view on industry-leading standards into concrete roadmap priorities and success metrics that demonstrate Growth Engagement Marketing's contribution as a reliable growth and revenue driver.
  • Lead the development of internal tools to manage $200M+ in annual paid media spend — translating the operational complexity of paid channels into clear engineering requirements and owning complete delivery.
  • Design systems to improve paid media ROI by integrating AI tools with human expertise across creative production, budget optimization, and channel management — making the call on where agentic approaches accelerate results and where human judgment stays in the loop.
  • Design the systems that connect Paid Media, Growth Engagement, and product onboarding experiences — ensuring that the hand-off from acquisition to activation is instrumented, personalized, and closed-loop.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between lifecycle marketing, PFM, and engineering — translating acquisition and monetization needs into clear problem statements and solution designs the engineering team can execute against.
  • Own outcomes, not just delivery — define success metrics up front, track adoption and funnel conversion, and drive iteration until the tooling delivers measurable business outcomes.
  • Manage workflow across teams — coordinate priorities, unblock engineering, coordinate with product managers, engineering leads, and marketing leads, and keep delivery on track across lifecycle, paid, and PFM.
  • Bring deep technical fluency to design credible solutions, evaluate tradeoffs, and have substantive conversations with engineers without writing the code yourself.
  • Make pragmatic build-vs-buy and traditional-vs-agentic decisions grounded in cost, complexity, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Define requirements, success criteria, and guardrails for agentic systems so what ships behaves predictably in production marketing workflows.
  • Operate comfortably in ambiguity — take a vague business need and shape it into a scoped, prioritized plan.
  • Drive alignment across marketing, engineering, data, and leadership; communicate tradeoffs and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Take accountability for the full lifecycle — discovery, definition, delivery (with engineering), launch, adoption, and measurement.
  • 8+ years owning technical products or programs, ideally in a Martech, growth, technical product management, or marketing operations context.
  • Strong command of the modern Martech ecosystem — including lifecycle/CRM platforms, paid media integrations, personalization engines, and how marketing and growth teams operate.
  • Deep technical fluency to partner credibly with engineering teams and reason about complex architecture and trade-offs (experience adjacent to engineering, such as a former engineer, technical product manager, or solutions engineer is a plus).
  • Familiarity with LLMs and agentic tooling, and sound judgment about where it genuinely adds value vs. where it adds complexity.
  • A track record of owning outcomes and metrics, and of driving collaborative delivery with marketing, engineering, data, and product teams across both lifecycle and paid marketing surfaces.
