Academic Support Assistant Job Title: Academic Support Assistant Institution: Royal Institute International School Department: Education Reports To: Head of Academic Affairs Job Purpose The Academic Support Assistant provides comprehensive academic and administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s academic programs. The role focuses on assisting teachers, supporting students’ learning needs, coordinating academic activities, and maintaining academic records in alignment with the school’s educational standards and policies. Key Responsibilities Academic Support Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials, assessments, and instructional resources. Support students with academic needs, including remedial support and study guidance, under the direction of teaching staff. Help monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Assist in implementing curriculum plans and academic initiatives. Administrative & Coordination Duties Maintain academic files, schedules, reports, and documentation. Coordinate academic activities such as exams, assessments, parent-teacher meetings, and workshops. Support the Head of Academic Affairs in organizing academic calendars and timetables. Assist in data collection for academic reports and evaluations. Communication & Collaboration Act as a liaison between teachers and students . Communicate academic information clearly to students and parents when required. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support a positive learning environment. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure academic procedures follow school policies and international education standards. Support quality assurance processes related to teaching and learning. Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred). Prior experience in a school or academic environment is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators. Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, school management systems). Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
