Job Title: Course Coordinator About us: The Royal Institute encompasses five schools under the umbrella of "Royal Institute International School" alongside a higher education division known as Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC). Additionally, it includes an online teaching platform named the Royal Institute Smart Academy (RISA), a skills development unit called the Royal Institute Center of Skills (RICS), and a sports complex. With a rich history spanning over 50 years, the Royal Institute is celebrated as a pioneer in the education sector, consistently delivering top-notch education to students. Currently, we are seeking a dynamic and organized individual with experience to join our team as a Course Coordinator for Royal Institute Centre of Skills (RICS). In this job role, you will be involved in ensuring the smooth operation of all courses and exams, maintaining high academic standards, and providing support to instructors and students. Course Coordination: · Plan and organize the schedule for courses offered at the Centre. · Liaise with faculty members to coordinate course materials, resources, and logistics. · Monitor and evaluate course delivery to ensure high-quality instruction. · Address and resolve any issues related to course delivery in a timely manner. · Follow up on inquiries made regarding courses offered at RICS and serve as contact point related to the Job role. · Coordinate with invigilators liaising partners and support staff for the smooth conduct of exams. · Handle exam-related queries and issues from students and faculty. Student Support: · Address student concerns and grievances related to courses and examinations. · Maintain open communication channels with students to ensure their academic needs are met. Faculty Support: · Assist faculty members with course logistics, timetables and classroom management and ensure faculty members have the necessary resources and support for effective teaching. Administrative Duties: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of course schedules, exam timetables, and student performance. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate registrations/ attendance and exam results. · Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures related to course delivery and exams. · Liaise with stakeholders and partners to ensure exam venues and other relevant areas meet standards for security, accessibility and compliance. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in academic coordination or a similar role is preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in using academic management software and tools. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and administrative staff. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively. Job role requires candidates to be onsite full time with a work week consisting of 3 ½ weekdays (8am to 4pm) and both Saturday and Sunday (8am to 5pm).
