PURPOSE As the Manager – Royal Institute Centre of Skills (RICS), you will provide strategic leadership, governance oversight, and operational direction for the Centre. While the rest of the team manages day-to-day operations, your role is to set direction, ensure compliance, drive academic excellence, and achieve institutional targets in alignment with the organization’s objectives, while mentoring and supervising the entire RICS team. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership & Governance: 1. Define and implement the overall strategic plan for RICS in line with institutional goals. 2. Ensure any plans developed by the team for annual academic, admissions, and operational activities are correctly developed and feasible for execution. 3. Responsible to ensure the end-to-end admissions process, from application intake to enrolment, is a seamless and positive experience for prospective students and take any corrective actions whenever required. 4. Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to the other staff members. 5. Ensure cross-functional alignment between Admissions, Marketing, and Academic teams. 2. Oversight of Operational Activities: 1. Provide overall leadership for RICS, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and service quality. 2. Ensure cross-functional alignment with relevant departments to develop and maintain efficient systems to support course delivery. 3. Resolve high-level operational issues escalated by the team. 4. Ensure optimal resource utilization, staffing, and scheduling across the department. 3. Management of External Stakeholders and Ensure Adherence of Compliances: 1. Act as the primary institutional authority to ensure adherence to Cambridge Examinations and other educational compliances to maintain the institute's high academic standards. 2. Ensure that the Pearson UK, TVEC and British Council compliances with their requirements for relevant courses/processes are correctly followed by RICS. 3. Review and sign off on all compliance documentation prepared by the team. 4. Ensure audits, inspections, and reporting needs are met in a timely and compliant manner. 4. Oversee Academic Quality Assurance: 1. Define and enforce the academic quality framework for RICS programmes. 2. Review academic quality reports, student feedback, and performance indicators, and create or approve academic improvements, curriculum changes, and corrective action plans. 5. Administrative Leadership and Policy Oversight: 1. Provide governance over administrative systems, course development, student records, and documentation integrity. 2. Oversee implementation of institutional systems and administrative improvements 3. Act as the final escalation point for inter-departmental coordination issues. 6. Examinations Supervisor and Invigilator: 1. Provide final authority and oversight for all examination-related activities. 2. Approve examination schedules, venues, staffing plans, and compliance procedures. 3. Ensure examination integrity, security, and adherence to awarding body regulations and review incident reports, malpractice investigations, and examination irregularities. 4. Ensure examination results, governance and institutional compliance 7. Strategic Oversight of Cambridge Center Exams Management: 1. Hold final responsibility for RICS’s status and performance as a Cambridge Examination Centre. 2. Oversee compliance with Cambridge Centre regulations and inspection outcomes. 3. Approve examination logistics, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance reports. 4. Ensure that effective support systems for all examination candidates are established. 5. Address high-level Cambridge compliance issues and represent the centre when required. 8. Problem Resolution and Decision-Making: 1. Act as decision-making authority for academic, operational, and compliance-related issues. 2. Review escalated challenges and approve corrective or preventive actions. 3. Provide guidance in complex problem-solving and institutional risk management. 4. Ensure continuous improvement through structured issue resolution mechanisms. 9. Data Analysis, Reporting, and Strategic Feedback: 1. Review annual academic, admissions, and operational performance reports. 2. Analyze trends, risks, and performance gaps to inform senior management decisions. 3. Approve improvement initiatives, funding proposals, and development plans. 4. Ensure institutional data supports accreditation, audits, and strategic planning. 10. Project Development: 1. Lead strategic projects aimed at institutional expansion, quality enhancement, and innovation. 2. Ensure projects align with long-term organizational and academic strategy. 3. Monitor project outcomes and institutional impact 11. Additional Duties: 1. Undertake any additional senior-level responsibilities required for the effective functioning and growth of RICS. 2. Act in best interests of organization ensuring growth, compliance, and academic excellence.
