Weighmaster (Roanoke, VA)

 

Looking for an employer with a long history and stability? Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer in Virginia, is seeking a Weighmaster for our Roanoke, VA location. This position works within a quarry environment and will be weighing company and customer trucks hauling company products or vehicles hauling company equipment to/from the quarry. This position requires skills and competencies in Microsoft Office, proficiencies in counting/ handling money, and the ability to assist customers in selecting appropriate aggregate products that meet the required specifications of a job.  This is not a call center position nor a typical office setting due to the nature and environment of the job.

High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to work overtime as required by job.

Successful candidate must be able to deal with customers, contractors, and delivery drivers, both in-person and by telephone, and have a strong knowledge of the Roanoke and surrounding areas.

Must possess effective communication skills both oral and written, be able to multi-task, and work in a highly active work environment; have demonstrated experience with data entry and a strong proficiency with basic mathematics to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to include fractions and percentages.
