The Challenge:
Saalt is looking for a Full-Time Warehouse Shift Lead to support fast growth and our growing line of consumer-packaged goods specializing in reusable period care. You’ll be at Saalt’s front lines fulfilling daily website orders, packing and shipping beautifully presented promotional boxes, and packing bulk purchase orders for third party retailers, while leading a team of evening shift team members. What You’ll Do:
Shift Lead:
- Lead a team that can fluctuate in size depending on company needs. This can range from 1 FT employee to 3-5 on-call or temporary workers.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems in our ERP and WMS.
- Manage a light assembly/kitting line and ensure the quality of the items being built.
- Operate a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Ensure KPIs are being met.
- Monitor and encourage safe warehouse operations.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse before shift-end, providing a clean and organized handoff for the morning shift.
- Train any future hires for the evening shift.
- Fulfill all standard duties of a Warehouse Associate (listed below) alongside leadership responsibilities.
Warehouse Associate:
- Fulfill and ship daily website orders.
- Transfer products accurately paying attention to item, lot number, and quantity.
- Improve accuracy and speed over time while minimizing shipping errors to customers.
- Pack and ship weekly promotional boxes with attention to detail and presentation to send to third party partners, influencers, and media.
- Pack and ship bulk quantity boxes for purchase orders sent to domestic retailers.
- Assist management in optimizing the shipping process for efficiency and any additional staffing needs.
- Stock and organize products and supplies as needed.
- Unpack, organize, and maintain received shipments of product and supplies.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Technical:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Effective planning and time management skills to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay organized across multiple communication platforms
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skill
- Ability to physically move between sitting and standing while packing boxes for several hours
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate adaptability, as job responsibilities are subject to change in accordance with business demands
Experience and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective planning and time management skills to execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay organized across multiple communication platforms
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skill
- Shopify and Shipstation experience a plus
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour plus perks listed below
