The Other Art Fair is a disruptive art fair for independent artists and unforgettable experiences with editions in cities around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, and London. The Other Art Fair’s ‘never-normal’ approach offers attendees direct access to artists and unique ways to experience art through experiential programming like live music, tattooing pop-ups, food and drinks, interactive workshops, live performances, and more.
About the Role
~1 min readAs the Event Marketing Manager, you’ll execute localized event marketing efforts in selected markets which can include OOH, audio, print, owned newsletter and organic social, and cultivate marketing collaborations and partnerships. You’ll work alongside a team of passionate marketers and event enthusiasts with the core mission of providing a platform for independent and emerging artists to be discovered by an audience of art lovers and collectors.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety, moves fast, and loves the energy of event marketing. No two days look the same — and that’s exactly what makes it exciting. You’ll play a critical role in bringing our global marketing strategy to life on the ground in the markets that matter most.
Responsibilities

- Tailor messaging and placements by persona, channel, and timing
- Drive ticket sales and attendance while managing budget efficiency
- Negotiate and secure local media placements (OOH, digital, audio, print)
- Launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns across platforms
- Ensure creative aligns with global brand while feeling locally relevant
- Identify underperformance quickly and adjust in real time
- Source and manage relationships with vendors, media partners, and collaborators
- Expand reach through strategic partnerships
- Set expectations and ensure high-quality brand representation
- Act as liaison between global marketing, programming, and operations
- Manage timelines and competing priorities across teams
- Surface market insights and flag risks early
- Ensure smooth execution without delays due to dependencies
- Track and report on all local marketing efforts
- Focus on driving strong ROAS for ticket sales
- Scale high-performing channels and pivot from underperforming ones
- Share insights to improve future campaign strategies
- 4+ years in marketing or event marketing
- Experience negotiating, securing, and evaluating advertising placements across multiple channels and platforms
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, HubSpot, or similar), Google Analytics, Meta Business/Ad Manager, Google Suite, and project management software (e.g. Notion, Asana)
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools and platforms, with curiosity and adaptability to quickly learn new applications that enhance marketing execution, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. You pride yourself on superb project management and on meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication—you’re an effective communicator through email, video calls, and in person.
- A self-starter and problem-solver. You work well when self-directed, are quick to ask questions when you need to, and are motivated to complete tasks on time and show up for the team’s goals.
- A knack for collaboration. You thrive in a team environment, look forward to jumping on a brainstorming session, and celebrate wins together.
- A genuine passion for the arts, community events, and culture.
- Availability and willingness to travel on select dates throughout the year to be on-site for Fairs. (typically 4–5 days at a time, up to 4 times per year)
What We Offer
~1 min readThe starting base pay for this role is between USD $85,000 and USD $100,000 per year. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, and other perks.
