Salary range: $42,577.60 - $44,054.40. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity.
Hours per week: 40

SAIT is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Cashier to join our Food Services team. In this role, you will provide attentive and professional food and beverage service while ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued.
As a Cashier, you will be the face of our operation, engaging with guests, accurately processing transactions, and sharing your knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, and beverage selections. You will play an important role in supporting guests with dietary considerations and allergy-related inquiries while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, health, and operational excellence.
Working across multiple service outlets, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contribute to a collaborative team culture, and help ensure smooth daily operations. Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming guest experience and responding to customer inquiries, dietary needs, allergies, and special requests.
Provide guidance and recommendations based on knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food and beverage offerings.
Accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions using POS systems, balance cash drawers, and complete cash-out procedures.
Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and food items while maintaining quality, presentation, and service standards.
Package, label, and price food and beverage products accurately.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Monitor, replenish, and organize service supplies and inventory as required.
Assist with opening and closing procedures and support day-to-day operational needs.
Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple service outlets to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and a positive team-focused approach while supporting various locations and operational requirements.
Minimum
High School Diploma
2 years of experience in customer service within retail, hospitality, food service, or cashiering environments
Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
