People Partner — East Region

We’re looking for a strategic People Partner who wants their work to matter. At Sandstone Care, we believe the quality of our care is a direct reflection of the health of our culture. You won’t just be "doing HR", you’ll be the strategic backbone for our Maryland and Virginia teams, supporting the amazing staff who help young people break free from mental health and substance use challenges.

As the People Partner, you sit at the intersection of strategy and impact. We’ve moved beyond administrative HR; we’re looking for an architect of culture. You will have the autonomy to move beyond paperwork to become a true business partner, which means using your expertise to ensure our teams are supported, engaged, and ready to show up for the young people who need them most.

  • Serve as the primary People & Culture advisor for assigned facilities, ensuring our mission is woven into every local operation.
  • Coach and influence managers to lead with empathy, accountability, and professional excellence.
  • Use data-driven insights to design engagement and workforce planning initiatives that keep our best talent in the field.

  • Partner with regional leaders to lead workforce planning efforts, identifying future talent needs and ensuring our staffing models support both operational growth and clinical excellence.
  • Lead a regional hiring strategy that prioritizes "cultural add" and quality, ensuring no young person waits for care due to a staffing gap.
  • Partner with our TA Specialists to create proactive pipelines, modernizing how we find and onboard top-tier clinical talent.

  • Act as the regional subject matter expert on TJC and state-specific behavioral health regulations and employment law, protecting our mission through meticulous compliance.
  • Lead objective, thorough investigations into employee relations matters, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and psychological safety.
  • Use regional business metrics and people analytics (retention, productivity, and engagement data) to diagnose organizational needs and drive a people strategy that improves overall business performance.

  • 3+ years in HR (Generalist, Recruiter, BP, etc.) with hands-on experience in employee relations and performance management
  • Deep fluency in employment law, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Data-informed decision-maker who thinks strategically and acts decisively
  • Proven ability to navigate complex ER situations and drive positive organizational change
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
