Security Officer

Sandy Lane Hotel, an AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Five Star exclusive resort and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking to recruit a Security Officer for our Security Department.

 The Role

The Security Officer will be responsible for the efficient maintenance of the Security function with particular emphasis on guests/staff/company assets and the Sandy Lane Brand.

The Successful candidate will be required to:

• Ensure that all Security Protocols are strictly adhered to and that all Security Breaches are efficiently and thoroughly investigated.
• Ensure that all data bases and data collecting instruments are efficiently maintained.
• Ensure that Sandy Lane and its environs are kept safe and secure for all guests/staff and visitors.
• Execute security protocols for a variety of events
• Ensure that the integrity of all assets is maintained and conduct security risk assessments as required.

Our ideal candidate must possess:

• Past experience in a similar position.
• Good computer skills and be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
• Excellent work ethics and a positive can-do attitude.
• Excellent Grooming Standards
• Physical ability to respond to Emergency Situations.
• A current Security License issued by the Government of Barbados.

This position requires a high level of accountability. The successful candidate must be a team player, in good physical condition and be able to perform extensive walking, bending, lifting and stretching.
