As our Delivery Officer, you’ll be a crucial force driving the successful execution of our projects and ensuring every commitment is delivered with excellence. How You’ll Deliver Impact
- Safely operate and maintain assigned delivery vehicles.
- Plan optimal delivery routes to ensure on-time distribution.
- Load/unload bags and premix securely and accurately.
- Verify shipment documentation and obtain proof of delivery.
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and organizational SOPs.
- Manage fuel consumption and maintain delivery logs.
- Report delays, incidents, or inventory discrepancies immediately.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years professional driving/delivery experience.
- Experience in logistics, FMCG, or NGO supply chains preferred.
- Valid Tanzanian Class A, D and E driving license (clean record).
- O-Level Certificate (Form IV).
- Vocational training in driving/automotive mechanics or defensive driving certification is an asset.
- Proficiency in defensive driving and urban/rural navigation.
- Physical ability to lift/move 25kg+ packages.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills (tire changes, fluid checks).
- Strong time-management and communication skills (English/Swahili).
- Integrity and reliability in handling sensitive inventory.
