About SARC: Established in 1978 through grassroots efforts, SARC has been at the forefront of providing essential services and support to those in need. From our humble beginnings, we've evolved into a comprehensive resource center offering shelter, advocacy, legal support, community outreach, and education services. At SARC, we believe in fostering an environment of trust, respect, and inclusivity, regardless of race, creed, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or economic circumstances. Join Our Team at SARC! Are you looking for a meaningful part-time role where your counseling, coaching, and compassion can make a real impact? SARC is seeking a licensed therapist to provide crisis mental health and psycho-education services to clients and youth in the SARC Safehouse. This position is for 10-hours weekly, in one day or two half-days, week days or weekend, day or evening shifts. The selected candidate can schedule weekly appointments, hold open office hours, respond to client crises, perform supportive check-ins, hold a conversation over a game of Uno, or even join a client for a visit to the pet kennel or a quick switch of laundry. While services are ideally delivered in person, virtual or phone sessions can be arranged to accommodate clients’ work schedules and availability. The selected candidate will also deliver group psycho-education at least monthly, will have the opportunity to create and facilitate a post-shelter support group, and may also provide staff consultation and training.
