Software Engineering Summer Job 2026

Scandit is a high-growth tech scaleup from Switzerland with offices in Zurich, Boston, Warsaw, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Tampere. Our market-leading smart data capture technology enables businesses to use any standard mobile phone to extract data from barcodes, ID documents, text, and objects. 

We are looking for students with a passion for software engineering and data processing to join our team in Tampere for three to six months. You will be a part of the infrastructure team and you will help us improve and maintain data-heavy applications.

We have many interesting projects to offer. Depending on your background and interests, you could work on some of the following projects:

• →Collaborate with the team of developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on backend, frontend or both.
• →Assist in the creation and optimization of data pipelines and ETL processes to support our data-driven initiatives.
• →Research and introduce new technologies and best practices to enhance our development processes.
• →Collaborate with designers to improve the user’s experience on web and mobile.
• →Contribute actively to our development process through participation in sprint plannings, grooming and demo sessions.

• Highly motivated student, interested in a summer job of three months or longer
• Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, information technology, robotics or a related field
• You are familiar with the aspects of modern web development
• Ideally you also know basic data engineering concepts
