Junior 3D Artist - Star Trek Fleet Command

Scopely is looking for a Junior 3D Artist - Character Artist to join Star Trek Fleet Command on a 12 month fixed term contract in Dublin, Barcelona or the UK.

Star Trek Fleet Command's ongoing success goes from strength to strength. Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market.

A highly collaborative, passionate and motivated multi-talented 3D artist who will help push our visual quality bar to the next level. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Art team and will be expected to help drive the look and feel of all elements within the team.

Require excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly and prioritise tasks effectively. You need to understand the game development process, as well as being approachable, trustworthy, and not afraid to take on new challenges.

Work closely with the Art Director and the Art Lead on multiple aspects of character art production, such as Likenesses, hair, rigging and animation balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines, and the hardware constraints of mobile game development. Help with processing and integration of outsourced deliveries. Create and manage the creation of Art builds

• A highly collaborative, passionate and motivated multi-talented 3D artist who will help push our visual quality bar to the next level.
• Strong and varied portfolio showing examples of work in a realistic style. Ideally examples of realistic sci-fi style assets, character art and costume art
• Strong knowledge of Maya or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop
• Good knowledge of Substance PainterStrong as well as knowledge of UV and texturing for game assets, solid understanding of materials and lighting
• Experience posing a character for rendering
• A passion to push yourself and learn new skills
• Great teamwork and communication skills

• Good knowledge of rigging, skinning and animation
• Good knowledge of ZBrushGood
• Unity game engine knowledge
• 2D drawing and painting ability
• 1+ years in the games industry
• Mobile game development experience
