Accounting Intern - Summer 2027

Our accounting internship offers hands-on experience where you'll play an essential role in upholding our accounting practices, supporting internal controls, and contributing to tax-related processes. This internship is designed to give you exposure to different teams within Scoular's accounting function, here’s what you can look forward to:

• Corporate Accounting Exposure: Assist with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes. Gain insight into how financial data supports business decisions and compliance.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Participate in the documentation and testing of internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Tax Support: Contribute to the preparation of tax workpapers and assist with data gathering for federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Audit Preparation: Collaborate with the corporate accounting team in preparing audit schedules and supporting year-end close activities.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Technology in Practice: Leverage tools like Workday AI and Excel to navigate financial systems and support data integrity.

At Scoular, we try to keep the hiring process straightforward and communicate with you every step of the way. Most Intern and Pathways positions are filled during the fall recruiting season, with the majority of offers extended between September and November. Most candidates can expect to complete the interview process within a few weeks, though timing may vary based on the role and recruiting volume.
