Responsibilities

  • →Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • →Safely restrain animals and assist with diagnostics and sample collection
  • →Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of exam rooms, equipment, and common areas
  • →Prepare medications and supplies as directed
  • →Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
  • →Assist with patient intake, discharge, and follow-up care
  • →Uphold Scout’s standards for safety, empathy, and teamwork

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
  • Strong animal handling skills and comfort with urgent/emergent cases
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

 

Nice to Have

  • Veterinary Assistant Certification or coursework
  • Experience in urgent care or emergency veterinary settings
  • Familiarity with veterinary software and digital records
