Responsibilities

- →Safely restrain animals and assist with diagnostics and sample collection
- →Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of exam rooms, equipment, and common areas
- →Prepare medications and supplies as directed
- →Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- →Assist with patient intake, discharge, and follow-up care
- →Uphold Scout’s standards for safety, empathy, and teamwork
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
- Strong animal handling skills and comfort with urgent/emergent cases
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Veterinary Assistant Certification or coursework
- Experience in urgent care or emergency veterinary settings
- Familiarity with veterinary software and digital records
