At Headfirst, we’re looking for aCamps Specialist to support our Youth Camps & Events Team, with a primary focus on our nationwide Professional Sports Camps. This seasonal role is based in our Washington, DC office and includes frequent travel to camp markets in partnership with teams like the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Falcons, Washington Nationals, and D.C. United.

As a Camps Specialist, you serve as an on-the-ground extension of the full-time Youth Camps & Events leadership team. You support site leaders and seasonal staff by helping translate plans into action, reinforcing program quality standards, and stepping in to resolve operational or staffing challenges in real time.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys problem solving, building relationships, and helping multiple teams stay aligned during a busy summer season.

 

Responsibilities

  • Builds people up through coaching, clarity, and consistency.
  • Communicates effectively across roles and teams, from camp directors to warehouse partners.
  • Solves problems calmly, even when multiple sites need attention at once.
  • Enjoys planning, logistics, and keeping systems running smoothly.Cares deeply about youth development and meaningful experiences.
  • Notices gaps and takes initiative to improve processes.
  •  Leads with empathy, curiosity, and cultural awareness.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification, or the ability to complete these prior to May 30.
  • A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a golf cart for materials transport.
