Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Monitor event execution, set-up, and tear down of evening and weekend events
- →Serve as a liaison between clients, museum staff, and vendors
- →Ensure client and vendor compliance with Museum policies and regulations
- →Uphold high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- →Utilize all available resources to ensure a successful event
- →Serve as Manager on Duty for venue experiences across all sites
- →Supervise and direct the work of staff providing events services and support
- →Monitors events for compliance with event service orders and museum policy
- →High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- →One year experience in event coordination or related experience
- →Working knowledge of events, meeting planning, and catering
- →Able to work independently and as part of a team
- →Proficient in indirect supervision skills and comfortable making independent decisions
- →Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, clients
- →Demonstrate respect in both positive and negative situations
- →Strong capacity to communicate to large groups
- →Attention to detail with strong multi-tasking
- →Orientation towards providing superior customer service
- →Reliable transportation is required
- →Exercise sound, timely judgment and effective decision making in a dynamic environment
- →Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- →Exercise discretion in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- →Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom
- →Ability to pass and maintain security background check clearance
- →Work areas are primarily inside, in a climate-controlled environment with light background noise. Work during events may have higher noise levels. Workspaces may include outdoor areas in inclement weather.
- →Approximately 100% of time is spent moving around the work area. Occasional extended periods of standing may be required.
- →Clear and effective verbal and written communication in English with trustees and co-workers is necessary.
- →Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos and other appropriate paperwork.
- →Ability to effectively and regularly operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and printers, and ability to inspect, prepare and use paperwork, files, equipment, and supplies is necessary.
- →Ability to transport up to twenty (20) pounds of equipment and supplies.
