About the Role
~1 min readSecurityScorecard is hiring a Field Sales Director, Federal Civilian to drive new business across U.S. Federal Civilian agencies (e.g., Treasury, HHS, DHS civilian components, VA, Energy, Interior).
This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role responsible for expanding our footprint within the Federal Civilian ecosystem by aligning SecurityScorecard’s solutions to agency cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance initiatives (e.g., FISMA, Zero Trust, supply chain risk).
You’ll operate as a strategic seller, owning your territory end-to-end while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and channel partners to drive pipeline, close deals, and scale long-term growth.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Develop and execute territory and account strategies aligned to Federal Civilian agency priorities, including cybersecurity posture management, third-party risk, and Zero Trust initiatives
- →Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities across assigned Civilian agencies
- →Engage and establish credibility with key stakeholders including CIO, CISO, Risk, Procurement, and Program leadership
- →Translate agency mission priorities and compliance drivers into compelling SecurityScorecard use cases
- →Drive full-cycle sales from prospecting through close, consistently exceeding pipeline, booking, and revenue targets
- →Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering to drive demand generation and customer success
- →Leverage and expand relationships with channel partners (VARs, GSIs, MSSPs) to accelerate deal cycles and market penetration
- →Lead strategic account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management with high accuracy
- →Coordinate regional marketing and field activities tied to pipeline generation and ROI
- →Represent the voice of the Federal Civilian customer internally to influence product and GTM strategy
Requirements
~1 min read- Based in the Greater Washington, D.C. / Northern Virginia / Maryland metro area
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including selling into U.S. Federal Civilian agencies
- Demonstrated success exceeding pipeline generation, bookings, and revenue targets
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior government stakeholders (CIO/CISO level)
- Experience selling cybersecurity, SaaS, or risk management solutions into Federal Civilian accounts
- Familiarity with Federal procurement processes (e.g., GSA schedules, IDIQs, FedRAMP environments)
Requirements
~2 min read- Strong understanding of Federal Civilian cybersecurity frameworks and mandates (FISMA, NIST, Zero Trust, supply chain risk)
- Experience driving large, complex deals (>$1M ARR) within Federal Civilian agencies
- Track record of partnering effectively with system integrators and resellers in the public sector ecosystem
- Experience operating in a high-growth or startup environment, driving new market penetration
- Ability to communicate cybersecurity value in terms of mission impact, compliance, and risk reduction

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $275,000 - $325,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
