Receive, pH adjust and heat inactivate threonine broth.  Evaporate inactivated broth in preparation for granulation and drying.

This position works 12-hour rotating shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating, rotating nights & days every 4 weeks), which includes days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. 

• Measure and document broth transfers.
• Monitor and control broth pH, TS%, PCV%, density and temperature.
• Identify process malfunctions / deviations and communicate issues to management immediately
• Monitor and control assigned process equipment using HMI control software
• Collect samples and test pH, Total solids%, PCV%, concentration and density
• Accurately and legibly record samples and process data.
• Monitor assigned equipment and production areas to ensure cleanliness and normal operating conditions
• Perform equipment / tank cleaning (CIPs) as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned 

• Ability to participate in a high performance team-based environment that is fast-learning and adaptive; 
• Communicate effectively and participate in a continuous improvement culture, including utilizing problem solving skills; be flexible to all shifts; 
• Willing to cross-train into other areas; ensure conformance to standard operating procedures; 
• General computer use skills, e.g. Excel

• This position works in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposures to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, vibrations, varying atmospheric conditions and temperatures, hazardous chemicals, high pressure steam, dust 
• This position regularly requires the ability to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of shift, standing, walking extended distances, ascending/descending stairs extended distances, close/distance vision. Occasionally requires confined space entry, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, ascending/descending ladders, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• High school diploma / GED
• Lab and/or production experience is preferred
