Overview
The Finance and Corporate Services Clerk provides administrative support to the organization and supports the Director, Finance and Corporate Services; and the Finance Coordinator in ensuring sound financial practices by SEOCHC. Specifically supports finance in regards to Accounts Payable controls and payments; as well as maintaining contract and proposal databases. Provides administrative support to the Director, Finance and Corporate Services, including projects related to IT infrastructure, security, telephony and occupancy. Additionally, supports purchasing functions of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages accounts payable processes, including payment issuance and deposit administration, while maintaining key financial records such as capital asset registries, contracts, and proposals/funding agreements databases. Ensures accurate tracking and compliance with organizational and audit requirements.
- Oversees the security and condition of capital assets, coordinates maintenance and repair activities with contractors, and ensures timely resolution of health and safety action items to maintain a safe and functional work environment and provides supports for on and offsite staff as needed.
- Supports financial operations by assisting with reviewing and documenting finance and HR processes, and contributing to process improvements. Also participates and occasionally leads special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable; 1+ years of experience in Corporate Services and/or Administrative Support role(s).
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office and Accounting softwares
- Soft Skills: communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, adaptability, organization, attention to detail
- Fluency in English required; fluency in English and French an asset.
Salary
$49,613/yr - $58,349/yr
