As part of our expansion plan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we are looking for focused individuals to join our data centric global operations team serving clients in the US and European private credit markets and structured finance industry.

Please note: This position primarily supports US and European operations, and as such, involves non-standard working hours (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Malaysia time) to align with our clients’ business hours.

This is a full-time permanent position, not contract or internship.

Settle trades, review trade bookings.

Process daily reconciliation of cash and loan trade transactions facilitated by Siepe’s financial technology platform.

Research discrepancies including referencing source documentation and external databases.

Review and analyse loan data pulls and reports.

Data mapping and reconciliation resolution.

Update and maintain asset data accuracy and positions across client portfolios.

Build borrowing base and waterfall compliance models and reports.

Effective communication with other teams towards resolving data maintenance and reconciliation issues.

Facilitate feedback on systems development and improving workflow processes.

Alignment and adherence to SOC 2 compliance and risk management policies and practices.

Assist in other tasks as directed, including involvement in mini projects e.g. financial data extraction and regulated reporting, and onboarding new deals.

This role involves working with data including updating and reconciling data but please note that this is not a 'data analyst' role.

Candidates are expected to be able to handle significant amount of data records and numbers from reports and systems.

Successful candidates will be intensively trained on the job using Siepe’s tech-enabled solutions and vendor systems.

Fluent in English, written and spoken. Conversational Chinese Mandarin will be advantageous.

Understanding of financial spreadsheets is preferred.

Meticulous with an eye for detail, and ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

Fresh or recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply. Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.1 or equivalent and must have already graduated or be graduating within the next two months.

No more than 2 years of professional work experience in total.

Financial services experience is not required, but up to two year’s relevant experience in the financial services industry may be an advantage (e.g. in loan operations or credit markets).

If selected, you must be able to attend an in-person interview in Kuala Lumpur within the next 4-6 weeks.

Open to Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents with work authorization only.

Degree in Accounting, Finance/Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or Actuarial Science is preferred but other subjects are also acceptable.

Other qualifications may be considered upon evaluation.
