Production Support Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Production Support Engineer to support manufacturing operations by ensuring smooth production processes, minimizing downtime, and improving productivity. The ideal candidate will coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, optimize workflows, and ensure production targets are achieved efficiently. Key Responsibilities Production Support & Operations Provide technical support to production teams during daily manufacturing activities. Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues to minimize downtime. Support production planning and execution to meet delivery schedules. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment breakdowns and recurring issues. Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Process Improvement Analyze production performance and identify bottlenecks. Recommend and implement productivity improvement initiatives. Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities. Monitor process parameters and maintain production efficiency standards. Support automation and process optimization projects when required. Quality & Compliance Work closely with the Quality team to ensure product quality standards are maintained. Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and customer complaints. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Support internal and external audits as required. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports. Maintain production records, process documentation, and technical reports. Track key production KPIs such as efficiency, downtime, rejection rates, and productivity. Provide status updates and technical reports to management. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams. Support new product introductions and process validations. Coordinate with vendors and service providers when technical assistance is required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Support, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or related roles. Experience working in manufacturing, engineering, automotive, fabrication, or industrial production environments. Knowledge of production processes, troubleshooting techniques, and quality systems.
