Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Oman Experience: Minimum 5 Years Role Overview: A Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of project costs, ensuring financial efficiency and value for money throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope to determine cost implications Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure budget control Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and support procurement processes Manage contracts, including preparation, negotiation, and administration Assess and certify contractor invoices, interim payments, and final accounts Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions Handle variation orders, claims, and dispute resolution processes Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients for cost-related matters Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, and financial reports Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor (preferably in construction or infrastructure projects) Experience in Gulf countries (preferred) Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costing Skills Required: Strong understanding of cost estimation and budgeting Knowledge of contract management and commercial practices Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software Excellent analytical and numerical skills Good negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
