We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Security Engineer to provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and advanced support across enterprise network and security environments. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can lead incident response, drive service improvements, mentor engineers, and act as the primary technical escalation point for complex network and security challenges.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Provide technical leadership and guidance across network and security operations.
- Act as the primary technical owner for assigned customer environments and managed services.
- Drive continual service improvement initiatives, operational excellence, and best practice adoption.
- Ensure service delivery consistently meets or exceeds agreed service level commitments and customer expectations.
- Mentor and support engineers through knowledge sharing, technical coaching, and skills development.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Serve as the primary Level 3 escalation point for complex network and security incidents.
- Lead technical response efforts during major incidents and critical service outages.
- Drive root cause analysis and proactive problem management activities to reduce recurring issues.
- Participate in after-hours on-call support for priority and critical incidents when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, technical teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular operational updates, service reviews, and technical communications to assigned accounts.
- Present operational reporting, service performance metrics, and improvement recommendations during customer review meetings.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for customer outcomes and service quality.
- Own and oversee preventative maintenance activities across network and security environments.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, security posture, and operational health.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and service enhancement.
- Ensure maintenance schedules, reporting, and operational documentation are maintained to a high standard.
- Lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Ensure knowledge management practices are consistently maintained and improved.
- Contribute to technical standards, governance processes, and operational best practices.
- Support audit, compliance, and security governance activities where required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Extensive experience in enterprise networking and network security environments.
- Strong expertise in firewall technologies, network security, wireless networking, routing, switching, VPNs, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and acting as a senior escalation point for critical incidents.
Candidates should hold current certifications in two or more of the following areas:
- Aruba Wireless Certifications
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- ITIL Certification (Essential)
