SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Special Assistant to be part of our customer's program in their Cyber & Intelligence sector. 

Responsibilities

  • Attend and support business consulting needs to the office leadership by providing recommendations, meeting conduct, risk and action management, and problem resolution.
  • Prepare, review, and edit technical correspondence and presentations for internal/external meetings.
  • Assist in the production and publication of Reports Manuals, Technical/Standard Operating Procedures, and other supporting Cyber Security or operations-related documentation.
  • Assist and support administrative managers and directors in their daily tasks.
  • Provide and enable reporting needs for Division leadership to stakeholders outside of the organization including presentations and event management.
  • Assist the Division Director’s management, completion, delivery and support to time-sensitive tasks, meetings, working groups within the Directorate and Bureau of Diplomatic Security.
  • Provide a bridge for complex cyber issues at all levels of the Department using superlative verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Coordinate and prepare products (taskers, cables, official memoranda, etc. from internal and external organizations).
  • Gather data, input and other relevant information across the Division, review data for accuracy and relevancy, compile information, ensure product quality (substance, format, and grammar), and shepherd the product through approval processes.
  • Research, coordinate, and develop materials for special projects (unique, unforeseen, ad hoc, and urgent).
  • Engage at the executive level with Department leaders to achieve project objectives.
  • Communicate Division-level task direction to team-level programs, key external partners and coordinate final Division-level deliverables.
  • Draft, review, and standardize clear, concise responses to internal and external inquiries (e.g., leadership requests, client communications, regulatory questions), ensuring accuracy, appropriate tone, and alignment with organizational policies and security posture.
  • Drive operational efficiency by managing workflows, tracking key SOC metrics (SLAs, incident response times, escalation trends), and preparing executive-ready briefings, reports, and after-action summaries.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
    • An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain the following certification before start date. Continued certification required as a condition of employment:
    • CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+ , GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP
  • Efficient in developing requirements, workflow, and systems analysis.
  • Familiar with preparing complex operating instructions.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and editing technical correspondence and presentations for internal/external meetings.
  • Ability to apply exemplary verbal and written communication skills to engage with executive level leadership.
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $132,000

The SkyePoint Decisions salary range for this position is a general guideline only. It represents an estimated range for this position and is just one piece of our total compensation package.
