Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse QC Technician is SmartSource's first quality gate for returning rental technology. You test, clean, inspect, and restore inbound equipment to a deployable standard before it is returned to stock or moves forward to production, accurately documenting and reporting every quality and damage issue. You also support receiving, inventory control, shipping, and warehouse organization. This role is central to first pass yield (FPY) and inventory accuracy.


Key responsibilities:

  • Quality control inbound technology: check for damage, then test, clean, and return stock to its designated, labeled area.
  • Inspect and confirm equipment is complete, working, and configured to standard with all required accessories present.
  • Report damages, missing accessories, and defects the same day they are identified in the operating system.
  • Prioritize equipment with immediate production need as directed.
  • Assist with developing and improving Quality Control standards.
  • Accurately receive product into inventory and record all stock movements in the company operating system.
  • Reconcile returning orders and ensure equipment is returned to correct stock locations.
  • Prepare shipments to other SmartSource branches, job sites, and customers, complete and safely packed.
  • Determine method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, rates, and routes, and schedule carrier pickups.
  • Participate in the regular inventory cycle count program and continuous improvement / 5S activities.


Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail across testing, documentation, labeling, and inventory transactions.
  • Comfortable testing and inspecting event technology (AV, computers, printers, and displays).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds; experience operating standup forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office and the aptitude to learn inventory/rental systems.
  • Must be able to work as a team member and on own; good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must hold a valid license with clean driving record
  • Requires loading/unloading of company vehicles.
