📍 Please note: This is a full-time, office-based position that requires your full presence at our Fort Lee, NJ office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead HTML/Markup Developer to join our Product/R&D development team in Fort Lee, New Jersey. In this leadership role, you will manage and mentor a team of markup engineers while remaining hands‑on with high‑quality, fast, and adaptive user interface layouts for our web applications. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, and management to define standards, oversee delivery, and ensure our iGaming and digital products ship with pixel‑perfect, high‑performance UI.
Responsibilities
- Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
- Hiring and training technical personnel.
- Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
- Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Liaising with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
- Delegating work and assignments to team members.
- Collaborating with the team to identify and fix technical problems.
- Leading by example in writing efficient, fast, and adaptive layouts of interfaces.
- Collaborating with developers and web designers to continuously improve the product UI.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as an HTML coder / markup developer and 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS, plus basic knowledge of JavaScript.
- Good understanding of UI/UX design and cross‑browser layout.
- Strong knowledge of CSS/JS animation.
- Experience working with CSS Pre‑Processors: Sass/Less.
- Experience with the Git version control system.
- Understanding of web application performance optimization.
- Experience with Figma / Sketch / Photoshop.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Understanding of front‑end build tools (Gulp, Webpack, etc.).
- Knowledge of HTML email templates.
- Experience working with CSS frameworks.
- Experience working with template engines (Pug, Handlebars, etc.).
- Experience with Canvas API / WebGL / ThreeJS / GSAP.
