We are seeking a highly skilled, organized, and professional Activities Director to lead and oversee a comprehensive resident activities program. The Activities Director is responsible for creating and implementing meaningful activities that promote engagement, socialization, and quality of life for residents of all ages, interests, and physical abilities.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead the Activities Department staff.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive activities program and events.
• Prepare and distribute monthly activity calendars, weekly reminders, flyers, and newsletters.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team, contributing to care plans and resident care conferences.
• Coordinate resident transportation and ensure safe participation in activities and events.
• Complete MDS interviews and activity assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation in (PCC) and (EMR).
• Plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive activities program and events.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience effectively managing a team of 4 or more direct reports.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and build effective, cohesive teams.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
• Education in life enrichment, gerontology, recreation therapy, or a related field preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and managing activities programs in a LTC setting.
Physical Requirements:
• Be able to stand and walk intermittently throughout the day.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds without a mechanical lift.
• Be able to reach up, bend down, stretch and squat.
• Must be able to push residents weighing up to 250 lbs. in Geri chairs and/or wheelchairs.
• Must be able to read and speak English and hear.
