Valley Catholic School is searching for a K-8 After School Sports Activities Coordinator for the 2026/2027 school-year. We are looking for candidates who are dynamic and innovative and will complement the experienced and committed staff at our school - one which offers a caring and nurturing environment, promotes academic excellence, and emphasizes the education of the whole child.
The K-8 After School Activities Coordinator oversees, Volleyball, Hot Shots Basketball, Basketball, Swimming, Baseball, and Track & Field. This part-time position manages registrations, teams, coaches, schedules, equipment, uniforms, communication, and budgets for Fall, Winter, and Spring sports seasons.
Part-time position with flexible hours that increase during athletic seasons.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate and manage all sports programs.
- Oversee athlete registration and maintain participant records.
- Collect and track registration fees.
- Form teams and assign players.
- Recruit, support, and communicate with coaches.
- Organize and oversee tryouts when needed.
- Schedule and supervise games, meets, and events when needed.
- Order, distribute, and maintain uniforms and equipment when needed.
- Communicate with families, coaches, school/staff, and officials.
- Manage program budgets and expenses.
- Coordinate tournament participation and registrations when needed.
- Attend required meetings and represent the athletic program.
- Ensure all programs operate in a safe, positive, and sportsmanlike environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with youth sports, coaching, or program administration preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities.
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during sports seasons.
- Completed CASE training and responsible for ensuring all coaches have valid CASE training.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in sport management, physical education, or related field.
- Pervious coaching or teaching experience.
- Experience with developing and managing a budget preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to attend and supervise athletic practices, games, meets, tournaments, and special events, both indoor and outdoor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended period during, sporting events and meetings.
- Ability to life, carry, and move athletic equipment, and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to travel between athletic facilities and event locations as needed.
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stand walk, talk, sit, and hear; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach above shoulder height, reach below the waist, or lift as needed throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques are required.
