- The primary focus of this role is working at the intersection of AI and Data Protection in Banking concept, providing advice to respective departments in regards to DPIAs.
- Draft and update at least on annual basis and/or whenever necessary (eg. material changes in laws or in the company organization) relevant data protection policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the personal data processing inventories (ie. Records of Processing Activities according to art. 30 GDPR).
- Safeguard the rights of data subjects, e.g., by checking notifications and reporting obligations.
- Train employees, with regard to data protection and data privacy.
- Support in the selection, contract design, monitoring of contractors who perform data processing on behalf of the company.
- Monitor the regularity of data processing, perform prior checks or support the data protection impact assessments with relevant departments for processing involving sensitive data or falling into medium/high risks for the data subjects (including, but not limited to risks connected to cross-border data transfers).
- Advise on relevant and data protection-relevant legal provisions, on data protection-relevant contracts and internal company guidelines, and on all individual data protection issue.
- Draft the annual activity report.
- Draft ad-hoc reports for the management and/or the department, if deemed required.
- Perform control and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Conduct investigation on (potential) data breaches and ensuring reporting to Data Protection Authorities and/or affected data subjects and Cooperation Partners is performed when required.
- Assume the role of Deputy DPO if required by the bank.

- 6-8 years of work experience in data protection topics in-house and/or in consultancy firm (eg. in legal departments, compliance/audit departments), preferably in the banking and financial sectors.
- Higher education degree in law, business administration or similar; “lawyer” title would be nice to have.
- Solution oriented, pragmatic.
- Analytical, detail-oriented professional who pairs strong business acumen with a pragmatic, execution-oriented approach.
- Combines strong communication and presentation skills with agile methodology, all underpinned by a high level of integrity.
- English professional speaker, German is desired but not mandatory.
