Credentialing Assistant

Soma Medical Center is looking for a Credentialing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of medical insurance and provider credentialing processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with provider credentialing and recredentialing processes
• Follow up with insurance companies and payer portals
• Maintain provider records and documentation
• Assist with insurance enrollments and updates
• Track applications and expirations
• Support the credentialing department with administrative tasks

Requirements:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or credentialing preferred
• Knowledge of medical insurance plans and payer processes required
  
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in English & Spanish
• Experience with Excel & Adobe is preferred
