We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Drafter/Cutlist Job Processor to support our end-to-end design-to-manufacturing workflow. This role bridges the gap between creative design and technical production, ensuring that custom closet projects are accurately translated into build-ready specifications.
You will work closely with designers and production teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring precision, feasibility, and smooth execution. The ideal candidate is quick to learn, highly organised, and comfortable working within a structured CAD-based system.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Review designer-created project proposals for technical accuracy and manufacturing feasibility
- Identify design conflicts or build constraints and propose practical adjustments
- Ensure all projects align with production standards and capabilities
- Use Cabinet Vision (or similar CAD software) to create detailed, production-ready drawings and specifications
- Translate design concepts into precise manufacturing outputs
- Maintain accuracy across all technical documentation and revisions
- Manage a pipeline of approximately 6–8 active projects per day
- Track progress from design approval through to production readiness
- Ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
- Identify and resolve technical or design-related issues early in the workflow
- Document recurring issues and contribute to process improvements
- Support smooth communication between design and production teams
- Assist in training team members on CAD workflows, system standards, and technical requirements
- Share best practices and support continuous team development
- 2–3 years of experience in CAD design, carpentry, architectural drafting, or a similar technical design role
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and production workflows
- Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of work
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player
- Humble, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow within a structured system
