Experience: 5+ years with Salesforce (Apex, Lightning) and business requirements authoring

Location: Remote (Offshore – LATAM)

We are an investment fund that owns and manages a portfolio of exceptional vacation homes around the world. Our investors travel and enjoy these residences and benefit from any capital appreciation over the lifetime of their investment.

We foster a creative, entrepreneurial, and energetic environment where people look forward to coming to work every day and helping the business grow. An independent work ethic and bias for action are critical. We value passionate people who love to be challenged and desire the freedom to contribute to the company's overall success. Our team is filled with smart, ambitious, hard-working employees who operate with the highest level of integrity. We are a small, nimble company — we are looking for someone who can not only develop the strategy but will roll up their sleeves and execute it. If you thrive at the intersection of big-picture thinking and hands-on delivery, you will fit right in.

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Product Owner / Lead Developer to lead a significant multi-workstream digital transformation of our Salesforce platform. This role combines deep technical Salesforce expertise with strong business analysis capabilities to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical implementation.

This position sits at the critical intersection of business strategy and technical execution, requiring someone who can speak both languages fluently. You will serve as the essential bridge between business stakeholders who understand their operational needs and the technical solutions that bring those needs to life — ensuring nothing is lost in translation and that user adoption is set up for success from day one.

You will be asked to review existing objects, workflows, and other Salesforce configurations and optimize them, as well as design and build net-new solutions across the interconnected initiatives detailed below. The ideal candidate is a highly organized executor with strong interpersonal skills who can engage directly with key stakeholders, run structured discovery sessions, extract and document functional requirements, and then see those requirements through to implementation.

This role will own the full implementation lifecycle — from discovery through deployment — across business transformation initiatives. Here are some examples:

Initiative

What You Will Build

Residence Information Management

Establish a single, governed source of truth for all our residence metadata across owned, leased, and reciprocal properties. Covers lifecycle phase tracking, data ownership rules, approval workflows, change management, audit logging, and scheduled periodic reviews.

Repair & Maintenance Case Management

Overhaul the case management system for repair, replace, and care/maintenance cases. Includes SLA configuration, escalation protocols, investor-facing improvements, budget estimate automation, and management dashboards.

Home Service Vendor Management

Build a structured framework for sourcing, onboarding, and performance-managing our Home Service Vendors — including diligence documentation, contract storage, ratings, periodic reviews, and integration with our custom in-house SaaS platform.

Inventory Management & Procurement

Implement systematic inventory tracking and procurement workflows integrated with a 3rd party SaaS platform via APIs. Covers the full inventory lifecycle, expense management, maintenance case linkage, and inspection processes.

Requirements

~1 min read
  • Conduct comprehensive stakeholder interviews across departments — from senior leadership (COO, CTO) to operational staff (asset managers, maintenance managers, trip planners, accounting) to external parties.
  • Review detailed written requirements documents and translate them into coherent Salesforce solution architectures.
  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, and open questions in requirements and drive resolution through targeted follow-up sessions.
  • Create detailed functional requirements documents, user stories, and process flow diagrams that serve as the blueprint for development.
  • Facilitate requirements validation sessions and working sessions with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Perform gap analysis between current-state Salesforce configurations and the desired future state.
  • Run structured meetings with clear agendas, documented outcomes, and tracked action items.
  • Present design proposals and solution demos to senior leadership in clear, non-technical terms.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder priorities simultaneously, surfacing risks and trade-offs proactively.
  • Ability to understand not just 'what' the requirements say, but 'why' — connecting technical decisions to business outcomes.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce in an operationally complex, multi-stakeholder business environment.
  • Partner with end users to design and execute meaningful UAT scenarios, and support change management and training.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the company's business model, operations, and proprietary SaaS platforms.
  • Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools.
  • Build and configure complex approval processes, triggered flows, scheduled flows, validation rules, and formula fields.
  • Design custom objects, fields, relationships, and dependent picklists to support business requirements across all workstreams.
  • Implement Salesforce Case Management — case types, SLA entitlements, escalation rules, queues, and assignment rules.
  • Configure role hierarchy, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and OWD to support a multi-role stakeholder environment.
  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP API integrations connecting Salesforce to external platforms.
  • Execute data migration strategies including import/export, data cleansing, and validation.
  • Review and optimize existing Salesforce configurations — objects, workflows, Process Builder flows, and legacy automation.
  • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation for all custom developments and configuration decisions.

Requirements

~1 min read
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of interviewing non-technical business users and extracting detailed, actionable requirements.
  • Strong experience creating functional requirements documents, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
  • Demonstrable examples of functional requirements authoring — candidates should be prepared to share samples.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and administrator experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Apex — triggers, classes, batch jobs, scheduled jobs, and test classes with adequate coverage.
  • Expert knowledge of Lightning Web Component (LWC) development for custom UI/UX built into Salesforce.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce configuration: custom objects, fields, validation rules, and formulas.
  • Proficiency with current and legacy workflow automation tools including Process Builder, Flows, and Workflow Rules.
  • Deep experience with Salesforce Case Management — case types, entitlements, SLAs, escalation rules, and queues.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Approval Processes and complex multi-step approval design.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk API).
  • Version control and deployment using Salesforce DX (SFDX), sandbox management, and change sets.
  • Understanding of Salesforce data modeling best practices and governor limits.
  • Salesforce Reports and Dashboards — custom report types, cross-object reporting, and executive-level dashboard design.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating through tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and genuine passion for what you do.

In the first 30 days, the successful candidate will have met with key stakeholders across all business functions, developed a solid understanding of company operations, reviewed all requirements documents in depth, and produced a phased implementation roadmap with clear milestones.

Over the course of the engagement, you will deliver a fully implemented Salesforce solution across all workstreams that materially improves how our team manages residence data, handles repair and maintenance cases, governs vendor relationships, and tracks inventory — replacing fragmented manual processes with a scalable, well-governed, and insight-rich platform.
