Job Description
As part of the EMEA team, this role champions the creative and strategic direction of music-led branding projects across the Amsterdam studio and supporting projects.
In our other EMEA offices as and when necessary. As a Senior Creative, you lead from insight to execution—translating research into bold ideas, partnering with producers,
and ensuring creative excellence across all sonic and music strategy outputs. You're
a vital force in project delivery, team development, and pitch support—helping shape
a future-facing creative culture rooted in sound.
Main Job Duties
Creative Strategy & Delivery
- Lead music strategy and sonic branding projects, based in our Amsterdam office and supporting other markets, from research to execution, ensuring creative quality, strategic relevance, and client satisfaction at every stage.
- Research and deliver innovative solutions that bring our creativity to life commercially through new products, platforms or channels.
- Translate insights and brand positioning into clear, bold creative concepts that demonstrate the value of music and sound as branding tools.
- Shape briefs, support ideation, and help develop narratives that communicate creative intent clearly to both clients and internal teams.
- Oversee storytelling, copywriting, and presentation materials that bring sonic strategies and music concepts to life across multiple formats.
- Collaborate with producers on production briefs and asset delivery, ensuring output meets creative ambition and technical requirements.
- Provide feedback and final approvals to uphold creative standards across deliverables, systems, and strategic frameworks.
- Contribute to award submissions by supporting case-study narratives and clarifying the strategic role of sound in project outcomes.
- Take a hands role in the creation and delivery of project presentations
and pitch decks
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor junior creatives in Amsterdam, offering support across project types and contributing to their creative and strategic development.
- Share tools, templates, and creative frameworks with the wider team to promote consistency and raise delivery standards.
- Participate in team inspiration sessions and creative rituals as a senior contributor, helping strengthen creative culture and shared learning.
- Provide constructive feedback during concept development and reviews, supporting strong execution and alignment with team standards.
- Help embed creative excellence in everyday practice by reinforcing strategy models, deck formats, and music storytelling techniques.
Commercial Partnership & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with commercial leads to support pitches, providing creative input that strengthens proposals and speaks directly to client needs.
- Develop creative responses that translate strategic briefs into imaginative, practical solutions grounded in music and sonic thinking.
- Join client meetings to present ideas, articulate creative direction, and support long-term relationship building through clarity and confidence.
- Help grow client accounts by offering trusted creative counsel and consistently strong project delivery.
- Spot opportunities to bring fresh, sound-led thinking to client challenges, supporting commercial teams in unlocking new work.
- Track relevant music, brand, and cultural trends to inform creative thinking and help anticipate client expectations.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Commercial Understanding: A sharp understanding of the value of music rights. You can accurately pitch tracks that fit within a client’s relative budget while maximizing creative impact.
- Industry Network: An established and active network of contacts, including artist managers, label A&R departments, and music publishers.
- Musical Expertise: A profound, encyclopedic knowledge of various music genres, sub-cultures, and historical trends.
- Cultural Intelligence: A deep understanding of local cultural nuances and "on-the-ground" trends to ensure our music solutions are authentic to specific territories.
- Communication: Ability to articulate the "why" behind musical choices to both creative teams and corporate stakeholders.
- Technical Fluency: High level of comfort and speed when playlisting and managing assets across Disco, Spotify, and Bandcamp.
