The Regional Manager (with a primary focus on performance management, leadership development, and driving standards and disciplines) is a strategic role overseeing multiple agricultural product Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs). This position leads and develops teams to improve forklift operations, order fulfillment performance, and workforce effectiveness through strategic labor and staffing initiatives.

As a key cultural leader within Southshore Companies, the Regional Manager champions the organization's vision, values, and processes across all RDCs. This role provides coaching and mentorship to leaders at all levels, ensuring a consistent, high-performing culture that motivates, develops, and empowers team members to achieve their full potential.

  • Leader (with an agriculture background is an advantage) and developer of people, team builder, and ability to execute on the company vision.
  • Establish, oversee, and continuously optimize RDC-level performance and productivity standards to ensure consistent measurement, accountability, and alignment with business needs across all RDCs, while ensuring high levels or accuracy and customer service.
  • Collaborate with site level Mangers to ensure consistent practices and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures across all locations. Ensures the RDCs are executing tasks in accordance with the Regional Manager team’s guidance and direction.
  • Drives a culture of accountability centered around safety as a number one priority by ensuring a clean and organized 5Sed working environment.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations and Training Regional Manager to support hiring, training, and development programs to ensure high-performing teams.
  • Partner with the corporate leadership team to serve as a key contributor in long-term strategic planning.
  • Ability to step into Site Manager role short-term to lead & run an RDC during the hiring and onboarding of a new Site Manager.
  • Available via phone and Teams to assist RDC leaders to troubleshoot issues. Participates in weekly teams calls with RDC staff and reports on relevant, timely topics such as operational efficiency, productivity goals met/unmet, staffing needs.
  • Monthly travel to other RDCs to provide training, inspection, and review of processes. Completes a Site Visit Report after each visit. Around 5 hotel nights on average per month but depends on the needs of the business.
  • 10+ years of leading a distribution center or manufacturing plant (required).
  • An agriculture background would be viewed as an advantage.
  • Leadership & management skills: ability to lead, assign work, and motivate teams to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Knowledge and experience using SAP R3 is a plus or deep understanding of other WMS systems or inventory-based ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of time management.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to travel 25% November to May.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), Data Analytics, etc. are a plus.
