SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

As a key member of the Communications team, the Executive Producer is a visual storyteller who owns live broadcast coverage for launch webcasts, helps commission supporting assets, and manages the production of internal and external livestreamed events. This position also supports physical production and asset management for third party productions.

The ideal individual for this role is a multi-faceted, innovative problem-solver and project manager that produces great creative work, is experienced in a broadcast control room, manages on-air talent, and delivers initiatives on time, on budget, and on strategy. This role’s core objective is writing and producing live launch broadcasts, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including the broadcast, creative content, external communications, and internal communications teams; all with the mission of surprising and delighting SpaceX audiences around the world.

The successful candidate is a strategic thinker and experienced writer who is a natural verbal and written communicator who thrives in an engineering-focused, always-on, fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Executive Producer is a team player with proven ability to inspire and motivate the team to deliver world-class creative work. The Executive Producer embodies the algorithm in their work every day, making requirements less dumb and deleting processes that do not add value.
