We are looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform repairs on construction heavy equipment (i.e. sweepers, milling machines, road striping equipment, propane and diesel fired heaters, etc.)
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Repairs and maintains construction equipment of various types and sizes from light-duty to heavy-duty operating equipment.
- →Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions as they arise
- →Perform preventative maintenance following operations manuals as well as electrical and hydraulic diagrams/ A/C units
- →Remove and replace defective parts using hand and power tools
- →Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance when used
- →Fabricate, weld and cut parts, using arc-welding/ wire feed and flame cutting equipment
- →Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- →Ability to work safely and follow established Company Safety Policies
- →Perform DOT Inspections
- →Perform related and other duties as requested
Requirements
~1 min read- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree or certifications in mechanics, or similar field
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Valid Class B Driver's License and a clean driving record a minimum requirement. Class A License would be strongly preferred (Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain is a plus
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screening
- Must have experience with diesel engines, DOT, and hydraulics
- Must have a manual-hand-finger dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
- Must be able to lift and/or transport +50 pounds
- Must be able to work in internal/external environments that may be in harsh weather conditions
- Exhibit teamwork
- Must be able to bring your own basic hand tools (specialty tools needed for the job will be provided for you to use at work)

Working Conditions outdoors; some local traveling to Kennewick, WA. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, fumes, and hazardous materials such as solvents, adhesives, paints, hot oil and other chemicals.8hr+ work days / 40hr+ work weeks (as needed-can include nights/weekends).
