~2 min readThe Programming Data & Insights Analyst will be responsible for transforming programming, audience and performance data into strategic insights that directly influence scheduling, rights acquisition and revenue decisions.
This role goes beyond reporting: it requires the ability to structure complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate numbers into clear, compelling executive narratives. The professional will build dashboards, develop performance analyses and create high-impact presentations that support leadership discussions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate understands how to connect TV ratings, digital performance and business outcomes — and communicate those connections persuasively.
What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain the daily and weekly programming schedule across linear and digital channels.
- Schedule live sports events, studio shows, replays and other programming elements in accordance with rights windows and distribution agreements.
- Operate and manage the programming grid within broadcast traffic and scheduling systems.
- Execute the operationalization of the programming schedule using software such as Media+, Aleph, Protheus or similar broadcast scheduling platforms.
- Insert and manage programming elements including live events, replays, promos, sponsorship assets and commercial breaks within the schedule.
- Coordinate real-time schedule adjustments during live broadcasts or programming updates.
- Ensure accurate delivery of EPG data to distribution partners and internal systems.
- Work closely with Programming, OPEC, Operations and Marketing teams to align programming execution.
- Monitor schedule accuracy and reconcile programming against As-Run logs.
- Maintain updated documentation of programming grids and schedule changes.
- Support planning for major competitions, special broadcasts and seasonal programming strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Media, Broadcasting or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in TV programming or scheduling.
- Experience in sports broadcasting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of traffic systems and EPG workflows.
- Technical Skills Desired.
- Experience with playout or traffic systems.
- Understanding of broadcast clocks and commercial break structure.
- Knowledge of As-Run logs and compliance processes.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Ability to manage complex grids and last-minute changes.
- High level of organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under live-event pressure.
- Strong cross-functional communication.
- Problem-solving mindset.
