~1 min readWe are looking for a Channels Planner Assistant to join our Media Content team in Madrid. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn in a fast-paced sports media environment, with a strong interest in football and live content.
You will support the planning and scheduling of live sports content across our channels and territories, working closely with the Media Content team. This role offers hands-on experience in sports programming and is designed for candidates who want to grow within an international media company.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage the programming schedules for the four SportyTV channels across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya, supporting the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly sports schedules based on available content and acquisitions.
- →Support the coordination and delivery of content materials (e.g. highlights and competition assets) to internal teams and external partners.
- →Help track and organise upcoming sports events and competitions.
- →Assist in the preparation of audience reports for distribution to competitions.
- →Support general coordination and administrative tasks within the media content team.
- →Work closely with the Social Media team to coordinate live broadcasts streamed through SportyTV’s social media accounts.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken at a C1 level.
- Strong interest in football and general sports content.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, live environments.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Previous internship or academic experience in media, sports, or content-related fields
- Interest in TV programming, scheduling, or live broadcasting
- Familiarity with sports calendars and major competitions
- Experience working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
