Purpose: To ensure the uninterrupted provision of Civil I and Civil II engineering-related services in a timely and cost-effective manner, in accordance with company procedures and ethical practices, while achieving end-user satisfaction. Provide technical expertise and guidance in all Civil Engineering–related works. Key responsibilities: Coordinate and manage Civil I sub-group facilities, including water production, water treatment, water storage, distribution systems, washroom facilities, sewage disposal systems, drains, and roads, to ensure uninterrupted and continuous services. Coordinate and manage Civil II sub-group facilities, including Carpentry, Welding, Masonry & Painting) sub group facilities to ensure uninterrupted continuous services. Prepare preventive maintenance schedules, raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in advance for material requirements, and ensure all preventive maintenance activities are completed according to the scheduled timelines. Conduct weekly discussions with subordinates, Senior Foremen, and Foremen to jointly identify Properties Work Requests (PWRs) jobs that cannot be handled in-house, and ensure such jobs are forwarded within one week of receipt. Obtain quotations where required within two weeks of user requests, or utilize existing rate quotations, and ensure completion within the established lead times. Ensure all critical services identified by the Facilities Manager (Civil) are maintained without interruption and in compliance with established service level standards. Prepare and submit bi-weekly work progress reports to the Facilities Manager (Civil) at least three days prior to departmental meetings. Update monthly equipment, fixtures, and fittings registers, submit soft copies to the Facilities Manager (Civil), and ensure the availability of all listed items within the premises. Supervise outsourced works to ensure quality standards and compliance with specifications, verify measurements and invoice rates for accuracy, and perform any other related duties assigned by superiors. Analyse system defects, provide the necessary technical guidance, identify effective solutions, and implement the most suitable corrective actions promptly to prevent major breakdowns. Identify future replacement requirements for equipment and systems reaching the end of their lifecycle, collect data for future civil-related budgetary requirements, and submit monthly updates to the Facilities Manager (Civil). Update stock and Purchase Requisition (PR) item specifications, including new stock item requirements and order quantities. Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 2 years work experience in a relevant discipline. OR Full professional qualification (NVQ 7) equivalent to a Engineering degree certified by IESL with 2 years experience in a relevant discipline. Note: Trainee and internship experience will not be considered as work experience. Age to be not more than 40 years as at 21st May 2026 which is the closing date. Be a Sri Lankan Citizen.
