About the Role
~1 min readSuspicious is growing fast, and email is one channel we refuse to be average at. It’s the one we actually own: no algorithm, no bidding war, no rented audience, just us and the people who already raised their hand.
We’re building our retention engine from scratch on Klaviyo, and we want someone who’ll own it end to end, the flows, the copy, the numbers. Not someone who waits for a brief and hits send, but someone who builds it, tests it, and makes it convert. Blank canvas, full ownership, and the mandate to make it world-class.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →
Own our Klaviyo setup end to end: flows, automations, segmentation and deliverability
- →
Plan and ship the email calendar around our drops, launches and commercial moments
- →
Write the copy yourself, on-brand, sharp, and unmistakably Suspicious
- →
Build and optimize the full lifecycle (welcome, cart, post-purchase, win-back) to drive repeat purchase
- →
Segment smartly and A/B test relentlessly, letting the numbers decide what’s next
- →
Track performance (open, click, revenue per email) and QA every send before it goes out
- →
Use AI to move faster and sharper, and keep email in sync with the vibe on TikTok and Insta
We’re not after a safe pair of hands. We want someone with a real point of view on what great email looks like, and the chops to make it real.
2+ years in email, lifecycle or retention marketing (e-commerce or DTC), with results you’re genuinely proud of
Hands-on experience building flows and campaigns in Klaviyo (strongly preferred) or a comparable platform
A genuine copywriting skill: you can write something that sounds human, on-brand and gets clicks
An analytical reflex: you know your open rates from your click-throughs and you let the data decide
Seriously organized and detail-obsessed, you can run a busy calendar without things slipping
A feel for the Suspicious Antwerp brand and the streetwear world it lives in
Nice to Have
~1 min readExperience with loyalty programs or other retention channels
HTML/CSS for custom email tweaks
Shopify, GA4, Figma or Canva
Worked inside a fast-moving fashion or retail brand before
You want a detailed brief for every task and step-by-step direction
You’d rather just execute than understand why a campaign works (or doesn’t)
You’re uncomfortable when priorities shift and things move fast
You don’t enjoy living in the data, testing, and chasing better numbers
A streetwear brand on a steep climb, where this channel is wide open and waiting for an owner. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with marketing, creative and e-commerce, with the freedom to build instead of inheriting someone else’s setup. We hire people who want to be the best at what they do, and we back them to prove it. The occasional bit of chaos included.
Ready to make email the channel everyone underestimates until they see your numbers.
