Senior Pump Mechanic

Seeking a Senior Pump Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Anaheim, CA.

Pay is between $40 - $55 per hour (based on experience)

• →Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, package/prepare for shipment API centrifugal pumps as well as other related rotating equipment
• →Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customer requirements
• →Monitor progress of repairs and assign and guide shop personnel to complete those repairs
• →Serve as one of the most experienced tradesman in the shop
• →Set the positive leadership tone and behavior
• →Interact with customers in a positive way
• →Assist the Supervisor in the execution of all work

Qualifications:

• →High School Diploma or GED required
• →10 + years of experience working in a pump repair shop facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment prepared
• →Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions
• →In-depth understanding of API 610, and other applicable standards
• →Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals
• →Disassembly, inspection, ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report to all necessary repairs and or replacement parts needed
• →Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
• →Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment
• →Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred
• →Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

• →Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• →Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
